With an extensive background in plumbing and roofing, and broad expertise across all the trade services offered by Topline, Neil occupies the role of Director of Sales & Operations, overseeing the trades operations and project works of the business. Having worked in the industry for over 40 years, Neil’s breadth of experience covers work with individual homeowners through to overseeing numerous large scale projects including re-roofing of Mt Eden Corrections Facility, Chelsea Sugar Works, Devonport Library and a multitude of tertiary institutions, schools and large commercial properties. He has sat on advisory boards for leading manufacturers and has advised architects and project consultants on specific building and product design requirements. He also sits on the Auckland executive of the Master Plumbers, Gasfitters, Drainlayers Association.
Neil holds a certified plumbing license and is NZQA licensed for metal roofing and cladding for which he holds the equivalent of LBP (Licensed Building Practitioner) status. He also holds a membrane applicator’s license. He has considerable experience in the metal and rubber membrane roofing industry in both residential and commercial roofing.
Neil is passionate about encouraging young people to choose a career in the trades, having personally committed to the upskilling and training of many apprentices and trades people for close to 30 years. He is an appointed Trustee on the board of the Apprenticeship Training Trust.
Outside of work Neil is a keen sportsman, participating in boxing, running, boating, fishing, surfing and is an avid follower of most sports. He regularly undertakes Manukau Bar crossings for fishing trips on the west coast. Neil and wife Jennie have 2 young adult daughters Brittany and Danielle.
