Our Te Aukati project just made the front cover of RoofLink magazine, the official publication of the Roofing Association of New Zealand, and we are pretty chuffed about it. Three pages inside explore how green building certification is reshaping commercial roofing in New Zealand, with Te Aukati as the case study and Topline Roofing Director Neil Gillespie sharing his perspective on where the industry is heading. As Auckland commercial and industrial roofing contractors with around 40 years experience and RANZ members since 1997, being featured this way is recognition that means a lot to our team.

Green Star Roofing Auckland: Why RANZ Featured Te Aukati
RANZ found our Te Aukati project page through our website, reached out to find out more, and the result is the front cover of RoofLink Winter 2026. We were genuinely pleased to get that call. It is a project our team is proud of, and having New Zealand's official roofing industry publication find it, feature it, and put it on the cover is recognition we do not take lightly.
Director Neil Gillespie contributed to the article, sharing his perspective on where roofing and sustainability are heading. The conversation around high-performance commercial roofing is one Topline Roofing is deeply involved in on every significant project we deliver, and we were glad to share it.
When Roofing Becomes a Performance System
The central theme of the article is one Topline Roofing sees reflected in almost every significant commercial project we are involved in right now. Roofing is no longer simply about weatherproofing. It is a critical performance decision, and one that needs to be right from the outset. Te Aukati is a clear example of what getting it right looks like.

Te Aukati: The Project Behind the Cover
Te Aukati is a 6 Star Green Star rated commercial building at 136 Fanshawe Street, Auckland CBD, developed and constructed by Mansons TCLM. Topline Roofing delivered the full roofing scope, including a 2,430m2 post-and-rail warm roof system designed to meet the thermal performance, airtightness, and indoor environment quality outcomes required for a 6 Star Green Star rating. The rooftop also incorporates solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems.
As Neil notes in the article:

Green Roofing in Auckland: What Comes Next
Te Aukati was the first of three high-performance commercial projects Topline Roofing has delivered for Mansons TCLM in Auckland CBD. Two further developments, 30 Daldy Street and 50 Albert Street, are currently progressing through Green Star assessment. Each one reflects the same direction of travel: developers and tenants expecting buildings that perform at the highest level, and roofing contractors who can deliver the precision and integration those buildings demand.
Topline Roofing is seeing increasing demand for roofing systems that go beyond weatherproofing: systems that contribute to energy efficiency, acoustic comfort, solar readiness, and long-term building durability. As Neil explains in the article, there is now:
